These are our popular tapered bottom, elastic top pants we have made in 100% hand loomed khadi cotton. This version is hand dyed with natural Catechu for a beautiful soft earthy spice/terracotta colour. Loose enough for comfort, just enough tailoring to be a bit fancy. Two handy pockets.
You can roll the bottoms up to suit your height or for a more casual look with sneakers or sandals.
Catechu is an extract from the Acacia tree, typically Senegalia catechu (Acacia catechu), extracted by boiling the wood in water. The colour of these pants is achieved with an iron mordant.
Ethically made by The Stitching Project, a social enterprise based in rural Rajasthan, India, dedicated to producing quality work that contributes fairly to the livelihood of the producer, whilst celebrating traditional artisan skills.
